I am a London Market Insurance Professional with over 30 years experience. My initial training was as a reinsurance accounting technician responsible for the collection of premium from Thailand, Singapore and South America.  My early training instilled the principal that it was preferable to solve problems than write memos about them.

I held insurance Accounting positions at Jenner Fenton Slade and Norex Insurance Brokers Limited up until 1993 when Norex was acquired by Lowndes Lambert.

London Market Wholesale

Following the acquisition of Norex I was asked to to run the London Market Wholesale Team which placed risks emanating from Non-Lloyd's Broker seeking to access the Lloyd's and London Insurance Market.

UK Personal Lines

In 1998, following Lowndes Lambert merger with Fenchurch Group I took the position as Operations Director in the combined Personal Lines Division.  Responsible for two offices and approximately 150 staff I oversaw the integration of the Fenchurch Personal Lines book, the purchase of a new administration system as well as the retraining of the Call Centre to improve cross-selling and customer service.

Going It Alone

Following another merger this time with the Heath Group I left the business at the end of 2000. Initially I undertook a number of consultancy engagements specifically around developing Management Information for the CDL Administration System then later on providing additional Consultancy to the team at Go Travel Insurance Limited.  In 2004 I teamed up with another insurance professional to purchase Go Travel Insurance Limited in a VC backed transaction.
